Pele’s Gift

Pele, The Goddess of Creation who is one with the volcano’s and brings New Earth to Life. I saw her in a dress similar to this but her hair was standing up on end in electricity. She is ever beautiful.

I rode my bike out to Tennessee Valley. A place where you can walk to an amazingly beautiful and pristine beach on the California coast line. But I saw a tree that invited me to climb it on the way. So I stopped, set my bike down and took up my drum as I climbed into the tree. It held me well. It was a foggy morning. The tendrils of sea dew were still coming up over the small rolling hills from the ocean. I felt warm in my poncho and befriended by my drum.

I started drumming and singing with an open heart. Nowhere really that I intended to go or do. I was just saying hello to the mountain, Mount Tamalpais, standing some distance so that I could behold her easily in the distance. Right away, White Tiger came. White Tiger looked serious, like he wasn’t there to play. So in my consciousness, but not my body as it remained holding space, I jumped out of the tree and asked White Tiger to lead the way.

White Tiger brought me down a meandering path underneath the Earth. Soon we were spiraled down all the way underneath the Mountain. We entered a large underground cavern. That is when I saw the sparks of white lightning dance and heard the crackling. And then I saw her, Pele, the Goddess of Creation. She was wearing all white. White lace. And her dress was very form fitting. It went up all the way to her neck and down to her wrists and to her ankles, although it was form-fitting and a bit see-through as well. She was lovely. Her hair stood on-end. Like a child’s does when just having slid down a plastic slide in the winter time. Her hair was all static-electricity as was her presence. Saying she was intimidating is an understatement. She commanded stillness and respect, without question.

The beautiful Mount Tam, my mountain and where I first met Pele, in 2011.

Right away figures in white with no faces or really bodies, just white-light, came towards me and as they touch me my clothes melted away. I then felt bathed in the white energy that pervaded the cave. When this purification moment crescendoed, the beings in white slipped a lovely white lace dress over my head-top.

I was then given flowers. Flowers braided into my hair. Flowers over my head. Flowers. Flowers. Everywhere.

I felt like I was being dressed for a wedding day. For a day of some great significance and blessings.

Pele began coming closer to me once her helpers were finished re-dressing me. Then she began to put things into my body. Gems, specifically. Amethysts. Emeralds. Garnets. All manner of gems. Into my hips. Into by shoulders. Into my breasts. Into my 3rd eye. And then, she showed me a large slender quartz crystal and had me swallow this. When she was done with the Chrystal infusions, she then turned away and came back towards me and presented me with an infant. A small baby. She placed this baby directly into my own womb. Inside of my sacred hoop of life.

Others have seen Pele in white lace as well, and with her hair standing on end. But when I first saw this vision of Pele, I had not seen her like this yet! This is a picture of a woman playing the role of Pele in a local Hawaiian tribute to her.

It all happened quite directly from her as a ceremony. Then, she was finished and she said, “And now, you will do something for me.” In my mind’s eye I saw a vision she gave me of myself rising at dawn each morning and drumming to pray for the land, for the Earth, for healing. To be a shaman for her mountain and bring rain when needed and sunlight when needed and to clear the energy of the mountain with my prayers every morning with the rising of the sun.

I was honored to have this request given to my care, to be asked to be a healing presence and prayerful shaman for her land. So I nodded. And so did she. And then, it was time for me to leave. White Tiger emerged once again and guided me back to myself where I sat singing and drumming high in the tree.

It was a powerful journey in 2011, early in my journey of learning how to live as a shaman in the world> over the years I found out what the gems given to my body offered me. For one thing, an always present and strong presence with Pele, no matter where I am. The baby, well, that gift is still coming. I see it in my mind’s eye and wait for the time. New Earth.

Each year I try to go to the Big Island, to go pray with Pele where she is strongest and to offer her flowers or other simple tokens of my gratitude for her faith in me. I admit, I do not drum every morning at sunrise, but often. Often, I do. And, now I also live in the shadow of Mount Tam and I am grateful to always feel the presence of her protection and application of my own spiritual power by how she raises my vibrations by magnitudes.

COME WITH ME TO THE BIG ISLAND AND DISCOVER THE MAGIC OF THE SPIRIT THAT STANDS BEHIND THE FORM OF THE LAND. PELE IS A BENEVOLENT, BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT WHO SEEKS TO PROTECT AND PROVIDE LOVE AND BOUNTY FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE EARTH. I SINCERELY TAKE MY WORK AS A SHAMAN OF THE LAND WITH SERIOUSNESS AND HUMILITY, AND SEEK IN ALL OF MY WORK TO HELP BRING HEAVEN TO EARTH. THE BIG ISLAND IS MAGICAL & MEANINGFUL IN EVERY WAY.
